Telephone Excise Tax Refund
At Financial Recovery Services (FRS), one of the recovery services we offer our clients is to inform them about the Telephone Excise Tax Refund (TETR), which ninety-four percent of U.S. companies overlooked, and then to assist them confidentially in obtaining their full share of the multi-billion dollar fund established by the United States Treasury.
The fund was established in July, 2006 to settle claims of improper collection of telephone excise taxes. Most companies who filed on their own used the IRS "estimated method" or "safe harbor approach" under IRS Notice 2006-50 and 2007-11 for calculating this credit but it reduces the refund to 1 percent for large corporations. Our experience enables us, with minimal support from internal resources, to access only the appropriate data necessary to prepare your claim for filing the 8913 as required by the IRS to support and obtain the full three percent refund.
FRS is dedicated to locating eligible companies, gathering and analyzing applicable data, and completing all relevant documentation to assure a timely delivery of all refunds. Our Certified Public Accountants closely monitor all updates, revisions, and changes to the tax code, so we can manage the complexities of the process and maximize each refund for our clients. Our legal professionals maintain an in-depth knowledge of all relevant legal regulations pertinent to the TETR.
Our team of professionals at FRS is committed to meeting the unique needs of each client we represent. We appreciate and respect the confidentiality of our client partnerships. With our experience and attention to detail, we at Financial Recovery Services pride ourselves as the leaders in recovering the Telephone Excise Tax Refund.
